First blog post! In a little over a month I will be running in Boston (I still can’t believe it)! Qualifying for Boston wasn’t easy. I’ve had a couple of surgeries in the past, and I honestly never thought I would run (let alone try to run) this one. After qualifying, I was anxious to see if I would actually get accepted! Needless to say, I was on cloud 9 when I got that acceptance email! I pulled a muscle in my calf earlier in training, so I took most of January off, but I am hoping to finish the rest of my training injury free!
This week’s running:
Monday- 22 miles
Tuesday- 6.4 miles (recovery run)
Thursday- 6.2 miles (speed work: 8 x .4 mile repeats with 1:30 recovery between each set)
Saturday- 2o miles
Total: 54.6 miles
